Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Doctor's referral?
No you don't. The only times you may need a GP referral is if you have an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan or if you are seeing Baseline Physio in relation to an open Worker's Compensation case, Motor Vehical Claim, or Department of Veteran's Affairs (DVA).
What do I wear?
Ideally, you'd be able to move freely and easily in the session you have booked. It may be beneficial for the physio to expose the painful area as well, so you should consider this when attending your session.
When and how do I pay?
You will be asked to pay on the day at the end of the treatment session. If you have private health cover this card will be swiped first to immediately claim your health fund's rebate. You will then be able to pay the gap using either card, or by paying in cash.
Can you send me for a scan?
Physios are able to refer for some scans such as XRays or MRI's, but referral to a GP is required in order to gain scans such as an Ultrasound. Your physio will be able to determine whether a scan is appropriate, and what scan is best to get.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
Baseline understands that unforeseen circumstances might mean that you are unable to attend your booked appointment. We ask that you make every effort to let us know if you cannot attend.
How do I get to the practice location?
Baseline Physiotherapy is located south of the river in Perth, in the suburb of North Lake. It is just behind Murdoch University. If you drive down Farrington Road you can turn onto Bibra Drive at the lights.
